The Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater has earned a reputation as one of the most acclaimed international ambassadors of American culture, promoting the uniqueness of the African-American cultural experience and the preservation and enrichment of American modern dance. Celebrating their 50th anniversary, the acclaimed modern dance company presents two unique programs of Ailey classics, including their most popular work, “Revelations.” Following in Mr. Ailey's visionary footsteps, artistic director Judith Jamison continues her inspired leadership, and today, any performance by the ensemble powerfully confirms the company's towering reputation.
